Our Mission
According to the UC Davis Center for Poverty Research, in 2015 the working poverty rate was 11.1 percent for households with children under age 18. For single-female headed families with children, the working poverty rate was 24.8 percent.
A Working Family's Christmas is a Pacific Northwest based non-profit dedicated solely to providing holiday gifts to the children of local, working families who struggle to make ends meet. We believe that every child deserves to experience the magic of gifts under the tree and we believe in helping those who are working to help themselves. We accept applications for assistance solely from parents who are working at or near minimum-wage level.
Our Team
Our amazing team of volunteers, board members and local celebrity partners come from all walks of life. They offer the benefits of their diverse skill sets 100% free of charge, enabling this unique organization to maximize the value of all contributions.
Our History
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been committed to bringing Christmas to local children since 2018 and with the help of our generous supporters we were able to continue our gift-giving even during the pandemic. Since our formation, we have helped give Christmas to thousands of children and each year our reach increases.
